High Performance Computing

The RIIT Group maintains a cluster of high performance computer systems, configured for computation-intensive business applications.  These systems have multiple, fast 64-bit CPU's, fiber channel disk arrays and terabytes of storage.  Programs available include SAS, Stata, MySQL, Python, and various compilers.  Databases include SEC 13F data, and real estate transactions.

The advantage of these systems is that they will run larger datasets than office systems, and keep your desktop systems available for everyday tasks.  Accounts are also available for research assistants and co-authors so that program results can be easily shared.  For more information and to request an account, send email to RIIT@smeal.psu.edu.
