Temperature

The Office of Physical Plant (OPP) maintains the heating and air conditioning systems within the Business Building.  In accordance with Penn State Policy AD64 on energy conservation, every effort is made to maintain temperatures in occupied space (offices, classrooms, etc.) of 70 degrees in the winter, and 75 degrees in the summer.  If you feel your office or classroom is exceedingly warm or cold, please call the RIIT Group at 865-0366 and we will send someone to measure the temperature.  If it is found to be outside the acceptable range, we will place a call to OPP to have the problem resolved as quickly as possible.

Please note, OPP recently installed occupancy sensors in the classrooms and conference rooms throughout the Business Building.  If you have entered a room that was previously unoccupied, please allow 10 minutes or so for the temperature to adjust to the "occupied" setting before calling to report a problem.
