Digital Signage

Learn more on how to post to digital signage in the Smeal Business Building.

If you have an upcoming event that you would like to promote on the Business Building digital signage, submit a Digital Signage request using the Smeal Service Management Portal. The Digital Signage Specialist will recieve your request and contact you, if necessary, with any questions, comments, or suggestions on ways to best utilize the signs in the building (and beyond). Remember to provide as much lead time as possible for your event. The more time you provide us to get your information onto the signs, the more time guests have to see it and receive the information.

Please include the following information when submitting a request: 

  1. Dates of event and/or period of time you want the signage to display
  2. Name of event
  3. Information about the event (is this a one-time event, recurring over multiple days, involving any special guests, etc.)
  4. Which sign(s) you would like to utilize as we have several options:
    • Main building signs
    • Bridge
    • Portable Obelisk

Each sign requires a different sized graphic and can serve multiple purposes. For the main building signs, these graphics can be designed by you or by the Digital Signage Specialist. If you are creating the signs yourself, please consider these content design best practices. The Bridge and Obelisk signs require specialized sizing and will always be created by the Digital Signage Specialist. 

When planning and designing content for digital signs, it is important to remember that “less is more.” A good way to look at your signs is to consider them like billboards along the highway. The images in the Business Building are visible for only 15 seconds, so you have limited time to relay the information to your viewers. Will your message get through?
