How to Add an Announcement to the RIIT Group Website

Information on how to add an announcement to the RIIT Group Website.
  1. Log into the CMS using your Penn State user ID and password.
  2. Click on the Contents tab on the home page.
  3. Click the News link in the table.
  4. Click Add New in the green bar
  5. Choose News Item.
  6. Add a Title.
  7. Add a Summary. The summary will be the text that shows on the home page under Announcements.
  8. Add content in the Body Text area using the same styling as for a page.
  9. Do not choose to add an image or caption.
  10. When complete, click Save.

Always remember, if you are unsure of something, you can always look at another announcement to see how it was done.
